Ingredient!
2 cups of long-grain white rice
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of salt
4 cups of hot water
Preparation!
Place the rice in a colander and rinse thoroughly with cold water to the side.
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Fry the onion in the oil for one minute. Stir in the garlic and cook until the garlic is golden brown. Add the rice and the salt and cook and stir until the rice starts to brown. Pour hot water over the rice mixture and stir. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and simmer until the water is absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes.
