ONE POT BRAZILIAN CHICKEN RICE

Ingredient
6 pieces of bone in the chicken thighs
kosher salt
pepper
2 tablespoons dried oregano
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 white onion (small, small diced)
1 head of garlic (chopped or mashed)
2 cups fresh corn
2 1/2 cups rice
3 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon turmeric
2 limes
parsley (for garnish)
Preparation!
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil.
Add the chicken and let brown for about 2 minutes on each side.
Add the onion and garlic, cook for about 1 minute.
Add the turmeric, oregano and mix everything.
Add the corn, rice and cook for 1 minute.
Add the chicken broth and cook until the rice is tender. Adjust the salt.
Add lime and parsley for garnish.
