Recipe Code: 479

Ingredient!
1 yellow onion
1/4 cup of green onions
2 red peppers
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 juice
4 cups chicken broth (I used homemade chicken broth, but you can use canned broth or broth from a box)
4 cups beef broth (I used homemade beef broth, but you can use canned broth or broth from a box)
ground cumin (1 tablespoon.)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
aleppo pepper (1 tablespoon.)
chili powder (use a combination of or spicy red pepper that you have if you don’t have ancho chili powder or aleppo pepper)
1/2 cup brown lentils (uncooked)
1/4 cup brown rice (uncooked)
1 cup of peanut butter (for South Beach diet, make sure you choose natural peanut butter with no added sugar)
Preparation!
Finely chop the onions, green onion, pepper and garlic and put them in the crockpot. Add canned tomatoes with juice, chicken and beef broth, ground cumin, Ancho chili powder New Mexico chili powder, Aleppo pepper, lentils and brown rice. Cook on high for approximately 4 hours or low for approximately 8 hours. (When you get home, you can stir it once or twice, but it’s not essential.)
After 4 hours (in the high.) Or 8 hours (in the low) you reduce the stir in peanut butter. Cook for another hour. (Or put it on high for 30 minutes if you are in a hurry for dinner.) Serve warm.
